Wow introducing myself is harder than I thought! I have worn many hats throughout my lifetime. Some of these include mother, wife, nurse, daughter, and now grandmother just to name a few. Right now I am retired or disabled depending on who you talk to (you know the government will use any excuse they can to redefine disabled). But enough about that I am currently essentially only able to function inside my home but I do try to make the best of it when my brain and body allow. I discovered a love of card making once I was unable to work as a nurse anymore. I had spent over twenty years working as an RN and had to find a way to redefine myself. Let me tell you I would have told you five years ago that I didn’t have an artistic bone in my body. Then a little over a year and a half ago I was reunited with my best friend and she seriously objected to the fact that for the most part I was put in my corner recliner in the morning and left there until bedtime pretty much being ignored. So bless her soul she introduced me to scrapbooking. Lol she had forgotten over the years spent apart that I don’t take many pictures and absolutely hate having pictures taken of myself. But between the two of us we came up with card making which was similar enough that even though we lived on different coasts in the US we could do it together via FaceTime or shoot I can’t remember the name of the other program right now and I should be able to I have only had my iPad for a few months but I digress. So for the short periods of time I could have my feet down without swelling we tried to work it in with her busy schedule. Now I do most of my card making on my good days by myself in short spurts and finally feel like I might be able to try my hand at more than card kits and make it now projects. So the reason I started this blog was to share the best and worst of my attempts at card making on my own.
